Camp Mighty
November 10-12, 2011
Palm Springs, California
Camp Mighty is a retreat for people who like to make cool stuff. If you’re one of those people, you should come. We can talk about getting good at life. There will be no trust-falls or exercises involving cat and dog masks. Unless you’re into that; what happens in your hotel room is your business.
We’re here to:
Live Better. From the founders of Mighty Events, Camp Mighty is a weekend structured around skills. The objective is to improve your life until it cannot be further improved. Before you arrive, you’ll draw up a Life List — about 100 things you’d like to do. The retreat gives you time to think about what you want, a team to help, and a pool. For floating.
Get Smarter. Part of the Mighty Events series, Camp Mighty is an extension of the Mighty Summit, an annual retreat for people in social and mainstream media. The idea behind both events is the same — we get together to have fun, trade ideas, and find inspiration to start new projects.
Do Gooder. We kick things off by doing a group service project for Charity Water. In the weeks before Camp Mighty, we divide into teams and raise funds for wells to bring clean, safe drinking water to people in developing nations. Our hope is that we can start getting to know each other, while we use our collective talents to do something cool before we even meet.
Please take note! We like men. This will be our first co-ed event, because past retreats have always been tiny and required that strangers share rooms. At this event, we not only welcome men, we will round some up if necessary. So gentlemen, start your engines.
